HISTORY OF ERMYN LODGE
Epsom, the home of the Derby, needs no introduction, and Ermyn Lodge has a long and proud history. It’s ideally situated between London and the south coast,
and the facilities for thoroughbreds are first class.

Jack Reardon, one of Epsom’s most astute trainers, was here 70 years ago, and Specify, the 1971 Grand National winner owned by Fred Pontin, was trained here, as was Cala Mesquida, that same year’s Schweppes Gold Trophy winner.

However, for the first time, Ermyn Lodge can now be truly regarded not only as a place for all racing seasons – Flat turf, jumps and all-weather – but also where horses are looked after from the start of their lives to the winning post.
